DEMILLAC, Yvon (France)
DEMILLAC, Yvon (France)
After being awarded a Premier Prix in Cello and in Chamber Music, Yvon Demillac has developped a passion for the guitar.
He received his first lessons from his father Francis-Paul Demillac, a violinist, composer and conductor. After that he has had the privilege to study with Carl Harms and Alexandre Lagoya in Paris.
In 1979, after receiving his certificat d'aptitude aux fonctions de professeur, he has created the guitar class of the Conservatoire National de Région of Angers, where he still teaches today.
During his musical studies, a friendship has been developped with guitarist-composer Érik Marchelie, with whom he shares the courses and concerts of the Académie Musicale of Albi.
Yvon Demillac is also the author of numerous publications for his instrument (Éditions Combre, Billaudot, Lemoine, d'OZ…).
As a concertist, he has distinguished himself with, among others, “Platero y yo” of Juan-Ramon Jimenez et Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and directed by comedians.
