SYTCHEV, Mikhail (Russia)

Mikhail Sytchev was born in 1971 in Moscow, Russia and began to play and improvise on the guitar at the age of nine. At eleven he entered the School of Music and Arts where he was a first and second prize - winner as a soloist at the Festival of Arts. After that he graduated from the Musical College and worked as a classical guitar teacher for 9 years. In 1997 established himself in the USA and continued teaching on the free-lance basis. His first experience in composition takes him back to the age of 12 when he improvised a few hours every day. His first works were small and technically easy pieces of course, but some of the themes were used and developed in the late opuses.
