Roque Carbajo

Roque Carbajo makes his beginnings in music at the tender age of seven. Accompanying his parents, musicians of profession, on tours in various countries of Europe and the Middle East interpreting Mexican folklore.

At 21 years of age, he settles down in Paris and composes works for the guitar, music for films and songs which were recorded by
French interpreters.

In 1979, he arrives in Canada with the music group “Viento del sur”. After a few canadian music tours, he attends the “Université du Québec à Montréal” and the Concordia University to improve his musical knowledge.

Today, Roque Carbajo composes. He teaches at the Preparatory School of music of the UQAM and also at “Collège Marie de France” and “Collège Durocher Saint-Lambert” in Quebec.
